Organic phosphorus-phosphorus oxyacids compounds are produced by reacting phosphorus halides, phosphorus oxyacids and organic compounds. These compounds may be combined with carbonization compounds and filler then applied on or in organic materials to flame retard the material.
An amino compound is reacted with a phosphorus oxyacid then reacted with an aldehyde to produce a resin. The amino compound may also be first reacted with an organic compound the reacted with a phosphorus oxyacid then reacted with an aldehyde to produce a resin.

It includes organic phosphorus compounds reacted with inorganic phosphorus
compounds and their salts. Carbonization agents, carbonization accelerators,
nitrogen containing compounds and filler may be used with the organic-inorganic
polyphosphorus compounds to flame retard polyurethanes, polyepoxy resins,
polyesters, polyamides, polyethylene, polypropylene and other plastic and natural
products such as cellulose products, etc.
